Every plant ships in a protective box with insulation and a moisture pack, via 2-day delivery, and is covered by our 30-day alive guarantee. If your plant arrives damaged or unwell, send a photo within 48 hours and we will replace it or refund it — no returns form required.

If your plant arrives unhealthy, or declines within its first 30 days with us in a way that isn't due to obvious neglect (drowning counts as neglect, we're afraid), we replace it free or refund the order. It's the same promise we make in our Portland shop.

Orders over $50 ship free. Under that, flat-rate shipping is $6, and everything goes out within one business day. Portland metro orders arrive next day; the rest of the US is 2–4 days. Planters and tools ship separately from live plants so nothing gets crushed.

Of course. Non-plant items can be returned within 30 days in their original condition for a full refund. Live plants are covered by the alive guarantee rather than returns, since a used plant isn't resellable — but we will always make it right.

Start with a golden pothos or a snake plant — both are genuinely forgiving, tolerate imperfect light, and forgive the occasional missed watering. We include a care card with every plant, and our Grow Guides section has step-by-step basics to build on.
