A plant shop that started in a garage
Verdant began in 2018 with six monstera cuttings, a borrowed truck, and a conviction: plant care should be honest, simple, and a little bit joyful.
Grown, not imported
We started by driving healthy, greenhouse-grown plants to Portland doorsteps ourselves — because we wanted to see how they travelled, learn what arrived perfect, and fix what didn\'t. Eight years later we ship nationwide, but the routine hasn\'t changed: every plant is still inspected by a real horticulturist before it leaves, and every box is still packed by someone who has personally killed a plant and learned from it.
Today we\'re a team of fourteen — growers, pickers, potters and plant nerds — in a small warehouse in Southeast Portland. The garage is gone. The standards aren\'t.
