What happens in a cake consultation

Wedding and celebration cakes start with a consultation, and people are often nervous — as if they need to arrive with a Pinterest board and a thesis.

You don't. We ask three questions: how many people, what do you love, and what's the vibe. Then we taste. Our tasting box has four cakes, three fillings and two frostings, and the consultation is usually decided by the second bite.

We quote a price before we bake a thing, and the quote doesn't move. The only decisions left after that are flavour and flowers.

The best part is the delivery: the cake travels in a box built for it, and we carry it up stairs, into venues and through surprise rainstorms. It's a bakery's honour and its biggest anxiety, all at once.
